◎简　　介

　　新兴宗教团体“美丽人生（Life is Beautiful）”，第三代教主吉川路易（藤原龙也饰）风流倜傥，言辞极具煽动性。在一个醉酒的夜晚，路易搭乘酒吧结识的神秘美女流美（水原希子饰）的汽车，对方的身份却让他着实一惊。未久，飞驰的跑车在某隧道内与一辆机车惨烈相撞。对方当场死亡，流美重伤昏迷不醒，路易则只受轻伤，逃过一劫。在此之后，教主的姐姐樱（原田麻由饰）安排弟弟去南方某个小岛暂避风头，并雇用新野（松田龙平饰）等三名保镖护卫路易的安全。与死神擦肩而过的路易切身感到生死无常，他试图解散教团，却遭到以母亲（大楠道代饰）为首的一众高层强烈反对。
